Our friend Sampology is an over-achiever. Everything he touches turns to pure-fire-dopeness. He is a top shelf dj, he does an audio/visual show that is one of the best things in Australia right now, he has toured the world as part of The Tom Tom show doing visual djing and MPC routines etc, and as if that wasnt enough, his productions are dope!

He sent us this party edit of ‘Hot Hot Hot’ and ‘Pon De Floor’. It guaranteed party-gold. And his tune ‘Mamaye’ is killer too – makes me want to get naked and dance around a fire. Enjoy!

This track was sent to me by our friends over at the Dirty Friends blog. It’s ‘Mega’ by The Count and Sinden, but with vocals by Sydney-based MC Deekay. He has been in touch with us lately about making a track together but we have been taking our sweet-ass time for months now (sorry man!) due to other commitments. Anyways, he spits rhymes over club beats, dubstep, bmore etc which is a good skill for an MC to have these days since everything’s gone so dance-music-crazy. You should definately check him out here

Top o the mornin to ya! If you find yourself on the Gold Coast this Sunday and looking to par-tay, this is for you. We are playing at this week’s edition of Dirty Sundays. Its up at the Titanium Bar in Surfers Paradise. We played at one of these a couple months ago and were unsure if people would be feelin us or not, because the djs before us were playing tech (which is something that we dont really do). Anyways we went on and played a party mash kind of set and it ended up being really well received! We were stoked, they were stoked, lets do it again! Its an afternoon-into-night jam and its right on the water so its a pretty epic spot for a Sunday evening. Come down and have a beer with us!

This is hands-down the funniest musical instrument demo i have ever seen! Its so amazingly bad! When the two guys are ‘jamming’ i was thinking “ok, nothing in life can be funnier than this” and then POW! out comes Mr Rockstar with his sunnies on doing this crazy lead guitar solo! OOOOOHHHHH MERCY! He’s like the governor of ‘Rocking Out’.

No matter how many times i see this, it makes me piss myself laughing everytime. Soooo fucking awesome. How’s it taste, motherfucker?!?!?

This Thursday is Sampology’s Super Visual Smackdown (as you’ve no doubt seen on here already) and we have been preparing our 4 turntable & MPC show. its going to be an hour long, and will be halfway between a party set and a trick set. Ok so this has probably been out forever, but hey i only just stumbled onto it so settle down all you people who only listen to music that was made this morning. Its Hervé’s remix of ‘Under The Sun’ by Kidda. Hervé is a master of all things bassline, and also goes by these aliases: The Count, Voodoo Chilli, Action Man, Dead Soul Brothers, Speaker Junk and Young Lovers. Thats a lot of names, i dont care where you’re from! This tune has got such a feelgood-hit-of-the-summer vibe to it, kinda somewhere between a 90s rave tune (happy piano breakdowns) and a beach party. Anyways it’s dancefloor gold and i will be dropping it like it’s warm this weekend.

This made me laugh so hard that i had tears coming out of my eyes…. Oh mercy!

The Scratchophone is a portable Scratch instrument, featuring a turntable, a special tonearm, scratch mixer, and a pair of speakers. It can even be used with a portable power supply. Its Crazy gadget for those scratchers in bands or groups Etc.

I dont know to much about the Scratchophone, but i cant wait to see someone using it in a show.
