If you were alive in Australia or New Zealand anytime between 1995 and today, you would have heard this song. It was the feelgood hit of the summer back when i was riding my BMX to the shopping centre to drink milkshakes and hang out at the surf shop all day haha! Anyways, the singer from OMC has just recently passed away. This remix was not meant to be a tribute or anything (i started it before he passed), but now since that grim coincidence i just hope that he would have approved. Wherever he is now he can definately look back and know that he left behind a song that made millions of people smile and dance. Enjoy…

Hey friends, i hope you’re all feeling well-rested because we’ve got a big night ahead of us this Saturday! We are headlining the middle bar at Empire for their always-amazing ‘Hey Hey’ night. If you’re not up on your Brisbane clubs, Empire middle bar is the best sounding room ever and its a huge honour to be asked to do this. We played there at the Parklife afterparty last year, sharing the booth with Cutloose, Aniki & Danny T. It was one of the most chaotic, fun, amazing sets we had ever been a part of.

Anyhoo this Sat we will be doing our best to shake it down in there. We have been digging like crazy lately and have turned up heaps of new club tunes. Plus we have a bunch of exclusives of our own unreleased tracks and of course some old favourites. The only problem is that i’m really looking forward to this set. “Why is that a problem?” i hear you ask. Well, i have this weird curse where as soon as i get a little too excited about a gig, it goes to shit. Now, i should mention that i look forward to every gig, but the problem only arises when i start REALLY looking forward to one. Boozy B is pissed with me because it looks like ive jinxed us for this one already but who knows – maybe this will be the gig that breaks the spell! Either way, get yo ass there!

Oh and it gets better again! Our boys Aniki and Danny T (who both absolutely RUN brisbane!) are on board, as well as Seany, and weAreYOU!  Do not sleep on this one!!

If you follow our blog im sure you’ll already know about our good friend Cutloose aka: Butloose, aka: Captain Cut, aka: Wild-man, aka: The Vampire Wookie. Anyways…. he gave us his remix of Ob-La-Di by The Beatles a couple months back and we have been giving it a proper thrashing. It lifts the mood of a room every time. We have played this at festivals, little club nights, indie nights, party mash-up nights, shit ive even played it in the frozen food aisle at Coles! Ok that last one’s a lie, but the point is that it tears down ‘too cool-itis’ like no other. And now friends, here it is – yours to own. Enjoy! And if you see Cutloose roaming the streets of Brisbane, make sure to grab him by the throat from behind and whisper in his ear how much you liked his remix.

Happy monday, friends. I woke up this morning to an email saying that the guys over at Thirty Thirsty had posted a mixtape which featured our Dolly Parton Re-rub. I checked it out and the mix if FIRE! if you like your tunes funky-fresh, i strongly suggest you head over there, download the ‘Make You Happy’ mixtape, put it on blast and prepare for the happiness to come flooding out of the speakers! Much respect!

This documentary was something a watched on ABC one night. A great look into culture, history, the future and how fucked up the world of copy rights and music has become. The doco go’s deeper past music into the way copy rights are slowing down society from moving forward.

I found this off another Blog called Broke Mogul, It’s another amazing episode of Vice Tv. This is an hour long, but well worth it. It’s one of the heavier doco’s i’ve watched. Cannibalism, Rape, Slums and civil wars. Makes you feel really lucky about where you live. Not the normal fun chippy thing on our Blog but a must watch.

Happy Valentines Day everyone… We’ve got two remixes for you, to show that we care. The first is our drum and bass remix of ‘Through To Me’ by Lychee Martini. Originally this was a reggae tune, its got an awesome female vocal that had me hooked as soon as i heard it. Its the first time we’ve been able to make a drum and bass tune that sounds close to passable.

This is our re-rub of ‘Youve Got The Love’. Florence & The Machine did a cover of it, then The XX remixed that cover version, then we did this to it. Where will it end?!? I hope someone remixes our version now just to see how far this can go haha! But yeah, great tune… We just gave it a bit more of a dancefloor treatment. This is not a high-brow remix at all, just basically a party break for us to use at shows but we thought “Hey, why not share the love?!”  Hope you enjoy!

Our friend Sampology is an over-achiever. Everything he touches turns to pure-fire-dopeness. He is a top shelf dj, he does an audio/visual show that is one of the best things in Australia right now, he has toured the world as part of The Tom Tom show doing visual djing and MPC routines etc, and as if that wasnt enough, his productions are dope!
